In The episode The Brief Encounter Nora has found a reading from a book that she wants Kitty to read. Nora has changed the pronouns so it goes like this;
"If a woman does not keep pace with her companions, perhaps it is because she hears a different drummer. Let her step to the music which she hears, however measured or far away"
The original goes like this;
"If a man does not keep pace with his companions, perhaps it is because he hears a different drummer. Let him step to the music which he hears, however measured or far away"
Walden, Henry David Thoreau
I love this show and Sally Fields. I can't get enough of it however,
ReplyDeleteI am tired of never seeing Kitty's little boy. She is off in the country,
off to parties, shopping, doing whatever, even at her mothers home for family gatherings and never has her baby, or even talks about the baby.
What the Heck!! It's absurd. Why don't they get real with that. At least with Sara they show her dealing with the children and issues involving being a single mom.
